In this guide, we are going to show you the step for step on how to change Skype for Business status to appear offline.
Logout from Skype for business (Client) if you are already logged in
Skype for business – Method 1
Go to Start -> Run -> Type REGEDIT
1. Browse the registry till Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\office\16.0\LyncDoubl
2. Double click and change the value of the registry key EnableAppearOffline to 1
3. Click OK and close the registry
Skype for business – Method 2
1.Go to Start -> Run > Type CMD
2. Type or copy paste the given below command
REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync /v EnableAppearOffline /t REG_DWORD /d 1
Now login to Skype for business (Client ) and check “offline” status added or not.
